We’ve rebuilt the edelkrone App from the ground up. Every line of code and every design choice was re-engineered to ensure smooth performance on all devices—from older smartphones to the latest flagships.
For the first time, Android and iOS users will enjoy the exact same feature set, delivering a consistent experience across platforms. This means no compromises—just the full power of edelkrone on any device.
A Fresh DollyPLUS Experience
The DollyPLUS is getting smarter and more intuitive than ever:
- Hand-guided programming: Set start and end points simply by moving the DollyPLUS with your hands—completely free and natural.
- 2-axis joystick control: With the app, you’ll now be able to control DollyPLUS forward, backward, left, and right, giving you full remote control flexibility.
- Curved paths made easy: DollyPLUS now respects not only the position but also the angle you define, allowing it to create beautifully curved movements between two points.
This upgrade transforms motion programming into an experience you’ll truly enjoy.
Perfect Repeatability with Path Correction
When performing repeated movements, even small deviations can disrupt precision. With the new update, DollyPLUS will let you easily clean up path drifts without reprogramming.
Simply bring the dolly back to its starting point, hold the keypose button, and it will “remember” where it began—instantly correcting errors. This unlocks exciting possibilities for VFX shots and repeatable moves, where accuracy is essential.
Motion Chain: Long Moves, Simplified
Introducing Motion Chain—a new way to program movements across all edelkrone devices.
- No more complex sequencer screens—motion chains can now be built directly on the main interface.
- Movements are recorded in sequence, making programming effortless.
- Each keypose has its own speed control, giving you fine-tuned customization.
The result? Smooth, dynamic motion sequences created live and with ease.
Freedom Without the App
While the new app is amazing, you won’t always need it. Our latest devices will now be able to:
- Auto-pair and group when powered on, detecting nearby devices instantly.
- Program moves directly on the hardware: By tapping the head (or body) device twice, you’ll enter learning mode. Show the start and end positions, set an average speed, and then tap three times to start looping the move.
This means you can achieve complex motion setups without an app, a remote, or even pressing buttons—pure filmmaking freedom.
